Marketing & Social Equity in the Cannabis World

As part of a cross-college challenge course, this project brought together student teams to collaborate with cannabis industry leaders in Massachusetts. The course focused on promoting entrepreneurial opportunities for social equity applicants, blending marketing strategy with a strong social justice mission.

Our team partnered with Green Flash Delivery, a Boston-based cannabis delivery service, to address their brand recognition challenges. Despite offering a valuable service, Green Flash Delivery has struggled to gain visibility in a competitive market. Many potential customers remain unaware of their delivery option, and the company faces difficulty finding and converting new customers due to a limited marketing budget. Additionally, building foundational community awareness around their commitment to social equity has been a persistent challenge.

To tackle these issues, we developed a comprehensive proposal aimed at increasing brand awareness while emphasizing the importance of social equity in the cannabis industry. Our proposal was built on thorough research, providing insights into customer behavior and market trends. We analyzed successful case studies of social equity marketing in the industry and crafted actionable recommendations with clear steps and timelines.

Through this project, we sought to create a sustainable marketing strategy that not only drives growth for Green Flash Delivery but also positions them as a leader in advocating for social equity within the cannabis sector.
